PhD Curriculum of the iRTG AquaDiva

iRTG Curriculum

One important aim of the iRTG AquaDiva is to support the AquaDiva doctoral researchers in gaining the skills they require to successfully pass their doctoral program and prepare them to progress their career following graduation.

As the young researchers become increasingly independent in working towards their own goals, we strongly support their active participation in designing their training, while providing a supportive structure. Therefore, the AquaDiva Curriculum is designed to allow flexible and personalized learning, tailored to the individual needs and phase of the PhD project.

The PAC Team

Every AquaDiva PhD student has her/his own PhD advisory committee (PAC) consisting of:

- your direct supervisor (member of CRC AquaDiva)

- two other senior scientists (at least one member of CRC AquaDiva)

- the iRTG coordinator, who guide the PhD student in all aspects of her/his PhD

- more members if you wish

The PAC team meets at least once per year. During the PAC meetings, the PhD student and all advisors deliberate extensively about results, past and future development, as well as strategic decisions regarding the PhD project. Career planning and networking are also important aspects of the PAC meetings. During your first PAC meeting you will sign your Supervision Agreement in the iRTG AquaDiva.
